Darrel Maxam

Darrel was born in Jamaica and raised in Connecticut. He served in the U.S. Army in Afghanistan, came back with PTSD, and channeled that experience into building spaces that give people what he needed most: genuine escape. He holds a Bachelor's in Visual Arts & Marketing, a Master's in Construction Management, and an MBA in Project Management. He designed the Finger Lakes blueprints on a napkin at 3am after visiting Jimmy Kimmel's South Tour Lodge in Idaho. One month later, full blueprint plans. That's the level of intention he brings to every project.

Patrice grew up in Sodus, NY and built a career as a nurse before pivoting into hospitality. The clinical precision she developed caring for patients translates directly into one of the most overlooked skills in boutique hospitality: making every single guest feel genuinely looked after. She managed marketing and interior design for every MAXAM property. She's sourced furniture from Bed Bath and Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, drawn inspiration from a trip to Finland, and designed spaces that earn five-star reviews consistently — not by accident, but by system.
